Day Unit Discharge Summary
Diagnosis
Persistent left donor site pain with nerve irritation and bony damage to the lateral aspect of the left iliac crest related to bone grafting procedure for previous scoliosis correction procedure
Procedure
Injection of painful site with 80mgm Depomedrone in 10mls 0.5% Marcaine
I have injected Simone´s painful hip. She was extremely frightened during her time in the Day Unit and obviously had many unpleasant memories of hospital stays in the past.
We performed the procedure after induction of anaesthesia by inhalation only, but even so she found the whole experience very distressing. I will review her in the scoliosis clinic in three months´.
Dr Harrison reporting on the injection to Dr Watters.
