THE STORY OF MY SPINE : I have always known about my scoliosis but when I was growing up doctors didn’t have a lot of solutions. I was told it was too late to do anything and that one day I would have to accept that I would be in a wheelchair. I tried not to think about that part and just got on with life.  However eventually my back pains got worse and my doctor sent me to a specialist. I was thrilled when he told me that there was an operation now and that I could have a better quality of life. He said it would be hard the first few days but that after six months to a year I would be as good as new. Hard to believe ...
