My Story By Izzypocus
Members StoriesI was formally diagnosed with scoliosis in 2001, at the age of 17, even though I had told my mom years ago that my spine was crooked. I went to the chiropractor with a history of headaches, and ended up treating the scoliosis. I also have a congenital cervical fusion (KFS) in c-2 and c-3. In august I finally went to an Ortho Specialist, and he measured the curve at 40 degrees. I couldn't compare with my earlier x-ray, because they were misplaced by the chiropractors office. He gave me an anti-inflammatory (to help with considerable back and neck pain), told me to go to PT and wants me back next year. Right now I'm looking for a second opinion, mainly from a doc that specializes in KFS. Someone who will do a thorough work-up, rather than just brushing it off.
