Persistent Pain

The University College London, Imperial College and Leicester University are conducting research on the role of movements in persistent pain. The study is taking advantage from recent technological developments in the field of computer gaming and aims at record people’s movements using special sensors.

ScoliosisNutty has jumped on board and is circulating the information to it's members.

If you would like to take part in this study then please read the PDF documents that are featured on this page.

Travelling expenses (train fare and taxi from a mainland over-ground station to the UCL) are paid to those who take part. One thing though its best that those who are interested have good mobility and able to travel by train etc. The project is open to people who live within a 50 mile (81k) of the centre of London.

The Pain Toolkit

The Pain Toolkit is a simple information booklet that could provide you with some handy tips and skills to support you along the way to managing your pain.

It is not meant to be the last word in pain self-management but a handy guide to help you get started - all you need to be is willing to read it and take on board some of the suggestions.

Pete Moore, who has persistent pain, asthma and osteoarthritis, has put these tools together with the help of friends, family and health care professionals - special acknowledgement to the Bradford pain Rehabilitation Programme team and NHS Kirklees PCT.

These tools have helped many people and could also help you too!
